About the job Scrum Master Job Summary: The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the Agile development process and ensuring the successful delivery of projects via Agile pods. They serve as a servant leader and coach to the development team, product owner, and stakeholders, promoting collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. Our team is undergoing exciting changes, and while scrum knowledge is important, official certifications are less essential to us than finding a Scrum Master who takes active ownership, builds teams, champions communication, advocates for the pod, and is comfortable being vocal to management when lack of clarity or pain points are discovered. Responsibilities: Facilitate the Agile development process, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Guide and coach the development team on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks. Remove any obstacles or impediments that may hinder the team's progress and ensure a smooth workflow. Foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and accountability within the team. Work closely with the product owner. Ensure that the team understands and adheres to the organization's new POD processes and structures, educating members where needed. Monitor and track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices. Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Nice to Have: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification. Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
