Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Full-Time opportunity in Fargo, ND. This role is onsite (5 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available network infrastructure in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Design and optimize Layer 2/3 topologies using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Support and improve data center operations, contributing to monitoring, observability, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend and implement network upgrades to improve scalability and performance.
• Lead network automation efforts using tools like Python and Ansible, integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or data center networks (Dell equipment / Seth storage/Linux environment).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, GRE, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Strong knowledge of Juniper networks (QFX series, Junos OS).
• Strong knowledge of Netgate networks (pfSense+, tnsr).
• Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, etc) and integration into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, etc).
• Deadline and detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
