Senior Specialist Osp Planning Engineer Design

This position requires office presence of a minimum of one day per week and is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Candidate should be well versed in outside plant design, development and long-range planning aspects of the industry.

At&t has an opening for a senior specialist osp planning engineer design to plan, design, and analyze network components and infrastructure for both wireline and wireless systems, providing strategic short- and long-term planning, solution recommendations, and implementation to achieve technology goals.

Key roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Network design and planning: Develop network layouts, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility studies, recommend strategic network planning and customer recommendations for network capacity and performance criteria.
• Cost estimation and budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, and create economic deliverables such as plans of record, forecasts, and utility agreements.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain documentation, generate reports, develop technical documentation, and create deliverables including plans of record, forecasts, serving plans, use permits, handoffs, workprints, and utility agreements.
• Technical proficiency and leadership: Demonstrate sound technical knowledge, mentor peers and new hires, resolve complex problems, provide training, and promote knowledge sharing.
• Implementation and strategy development: Develop and implement strategies to accommodate network growth and change, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, and service reliability criteria.

Required clearance: Secret (#secret)

Required qualifications: Ten years plus working in the outside plant industry doing fielding survey, design work and customer requirement solutions. Confined space certified; first aid/aed/cpr certified.

Desired qualifications:

• College degree, electrical engineering or civil engineering.
