About the Team At Nutanix, you will be joining the Nutanix User Experience team, a dynamic group of 70 talented individuals spanning across the US, Germany, and India. We are particularly interested in candidates who exhibit a passion for understanding user needs and possess a portfolio that showcases robust qualitative and quantitative research skills in both enterprise on-premise and cloud design. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Design, who is committed to fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Our work setup is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2-3 days per week, which allows for a great balance between in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work. Additionally, this position has no travel requirements, enabling you to focus on your contributions to our projects without the need for frequent commuting. Your Role Lead and execute comprehensive user research initiatives to uncover user needs and behaviors across our product portfolio. Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user research findings into the product development lifecycle. Develop and implement research protocols, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods, to inform design decisions. Utilize telemetry data and analytics tools to enhance insights into user interactions and drive product optimization strategies. Monitor and report on user engagement through dashboards and other reporting mechanisms, tracking progress over time. Mentor junior researchers and designers, promoting a culture of learning and user-centered design principles within the team. Champion user advocacy by effectively communicating research insights and user stories to stakeholders and leadership. Establish key objectives for the first year, focusing on building a robust research strategy for flagship products and fostering a user-centric design culture. What You Will Bring 7-10+ years of user research experience for web and/or cloud products. Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Expertise in analyzing telemetry data using tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques. Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder presentations and reports. Ability to synthesize and translate research insights into actionable design improvements. Experience in developing user journeys and conducting contextual inquiries. Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $197,600 and USD $296,400 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
