Job Description

We are looking for a Shipping Clerk who will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, as well as receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, picking and packing orders, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damages and discrepancies with inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and process orders, including receiving deliveries, and properly registering them within our system
  • Maintain warehouse reports
  • Pick, pack, and route orders as needed
  • Load trucks and schedule UPS and FedEx shipments
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
  • Keep records of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Stage merchandise in warehouse as needed, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
  • Collaborate with customer service department, ecommerce team, sales team, accounting, and others involved in the shipment and return of products

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Apparel knowledge preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good sense of time organization and urgency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of AS400 and WMS systems not required, but preferred

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 6 months warehouse, shipping, or customer service experience
