The Role: We seek a talented and experienced Ships Doctor.

Description Brief:

The Doctor on board is responsible for providing immediate and emergency medical care to both crew and passengers, reporting directly to the Staff Captain. They handle administrative tasks under the guidance of the practice manager and receive clinical support from the Topside Medical Provider. The role requires the ability to work independently, make informed decisions with some support, and ensure clinical decisions are based on current clinical evidence and best practices.

Working on a cruise ship is very different from any land-based occupation. Working hours are longer and work is more intense due to the constant demand of the guests. You must be very flexible in your working hours, which on occasion might have to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Minimum Requirements:

At least 3 years of post-graduate/post-registration experience in general and emergency medicine OR are board-certified in emergency medicine or family medicine or internal medicine; University Degree in Medicine; Current ACLS, ALS or equivalent certification or specialist training.; Current ITLS, ATLS, PHTLS or equivalent certification.; Current PALS or equivalent certification.; Valid Basic STCW certificates, as required for the position.; An amazing team player with a positive attitude to ‘get the job done’.;
