Coordinates day to day responsibilities of physical, speech and occupational therapy services. Supports the Clinical Manager in the coordination of compliance protocols and budget oversight. Coordinates the student program, department/staff development and process improvement. Supervises and evaluates staff performance. Participated in direct patient care as needed and serves as a consultant sharing knowledge and offering assistance, mentoring and support to the staff therapists. Usually responsible for one location. Essential Functions include evaluating staff performance, coordinating/planning monthly professional staff meetings, assisting the Clinical Manager in staff coaching and training, overseeing hiring/termination of staff, coordinating student assignments and clinical education, attending staff meetings and mandatory in-services, maintaining departmental policies and procedures, taking a lead role in program re-evaluation and development, coordinating educational opportunities, assisting in project assignments, developing/modifying policies, implementing process improvements, developing orientation materials, communicating and coordinating staff operations, managing department budget, serving as Departmental Compliance Manager, participating in direct patient care and consultation, serving on committees, conducting training workshops, and performing other duties as assigned. Supervisory responsibilities include direct supervision of team members with hire/termination authority, disciplinary authority, and performance management responsibilities. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in PT, OT, or SLP with three years of clinical experience or an Associate’s Degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Therapy along with a Master's Degree in a healthcare related field and licensure as a PTA, COTA or SLP Assistant. Must be licensed in South Carolina as PT, PTA, OT, COTA or SLP licensure. If driving is required, must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance certificate, and acceptable motor vehicle record.
