This position provides Back Office Support in life insurance new business operations and delivers the best possible service to Member Firms. This includes performing daily operations of Back Office Support case management and new business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide life case management and new business operations and support for Back Office
  • Assist with building and implementing systems for Back Office case management and new business operations
  • Develop, document, maintain, and improve processes and procedures
  • Assist with stakeholders to develop and implement operational reporting and dashboards as required to monitor SLAs and KPIs
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Back Office teams and other teams within the organization
  • Partner with other stakeholders to support a robust Back Office new business and underwriting training platform
  • Provide training to and consultation for junior Case Managers as the Back Office grows
  • Collaborate with Carrier Relations and Underwriting Teams to work through challenges with carrier new business and underwriting service and processes
  • Partner with M Underwriting, Carriers, and Member Firms to promote best practices for Back Office
  • Maintain knowledge of specific insurance carrier guidelines, policies, and business practices related to new business and underwriting processes
  • Stay up to date on subject matter and industry; be open to continuous learning
  • Contribute to projects, strategic initiatives, or other duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years case management and/or life underwriting experience is required; must have experience with informal underwriting in the large case market and efficient handling of smaller cases
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, concepts and terminology
  • Familiarity with common medical conditions and terminology
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple producers' new business need
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive success in an innovative environment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
You will also be eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.

JOB CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day remotely
  • Normal office environment/desk assignment
  • Extensive use of PC's, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
  • Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents
  • Potential for light travel
