Job Description

Northwell Healths Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is seeking an BE/BC Internist, Family Medicine physician, Geriatrician and/or Palliative Medicine physician to join the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation in Manhasset, New York.

The Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation is an award-winning 252-bed academic, skilled nursing facility providing short-term sub-acute inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. It is ranked as one of the top nursing facilities in New York State. Awarded a five out of five-star rating for overall quality from the federal governments U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is in the country's top 10% of nursing facilities. In addition, Stern has received top ranking by Newsweek in their Best Nursing Homes 2022 Report and by US News & World Report in their Best Nursing Homes 2022-2023 publication.

Highlights Include:

• Practice in an award-winning facility with an interdisciplinary team of employed and voluntary physicians, ACPs, and support staff
• Support a 31-bed Sub Acute Unit
• Participate in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
• Collaborative research opportunities at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research

The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with subspecialty training and/or board certification in Geriatrics or Hospice and Palliative Medicine and will have an interest in academics, stimulating cases, transitional care, and sub-acute rehabilitation.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
