Job Title: Strategic Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Strategic Finance Manager will be a key member of the finance team, driving strategic planning, financial forecasting, and business performance analysis. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing actionable insights that guide Flexcar’s growth and operational priorities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving between high-level strategic thinking and detailed financial modeling, with the ability to influence decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive strategic finance initiatives across the business, conducting complex financial analysis to deliver critical insights that empower us to make data-driven decisions and enhance overall business performance
• Support expansion initiatives through real estate and operational cash flow forecasting, market sizing, and modeling financial scenarios
• Evaluate and understand profitability across customer segments and the driving factors of variances in profitability; identify opportunities for growth/profitability improvements and quantify the financial impact of those opportunities
• Assess various pricing opportunities and their impact on customer lifetime value, with an emphasis on the specific impacts to the inputs of CLV
• Lead financial analysis to support key value creation initiatives such as new product launches, assessment of unit economics, strategic business partnerships and resource allocation decisions
• Partner with department leads to evaluate performance against KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Build business cases for new initiatives, investments, and cost optimization efforts.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (
• MBA preferred

Experience:

• 4–6 years in strategic finance or investment banking
• Proven track record of developing financial models and presenting insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership

Skills:

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Thorough understanding of financial statements and financial reporting
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability with a strategic mindset
• Ability to crystallize findings into actionable insights and communicate effectively at all levels to clearly articulate ideas, analysis results, and recommendations
• Strong understanding of subscription-based businesses and customer lifetime value concepts
