Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our talented culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sushi preparation, an eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the creative vision of our menu.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and craft high-quality sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese-inspired dishes to order.
• Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients, particularly seafood.
• Create visually stunning and delicious sushi dishes with consistent presentation.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings, including seasonal specials.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all food preparation areas.
• Interact with customers at the sushi bar, providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.
• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and ordering of ingredients as needed.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation and techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the sushi station.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar.
• Extensive knowledge of sushi-making techniques, knife skills, and seafood handling.
• Passion for creating innovative and authentic sushi dishes.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to consistency and quality.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when engaging with customers.
• A creative mindset and a willingness to contribute to menu development.
