Responsibilities The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist provides a wide range of administrative duties related to the coordination and execution of Queens Public Library’s recruitment and onboarding processes for internal and external talent. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing recruitment programs such as Summer Youth Employment, recruitment conferences, open houses, college career fairs, and internships. The role serves as the primary contact for applicants, hiring managers, and vendors, maintaining recruitment information and reports, and assisting with projects as needed. Key Duties Manage resumes, applications, job postings, and applicant data efficiently. Coordinate recruitment events, including logistics and presentation setup. Schedule interviews and meetings. Create and post job announcements and advertisements. Maintain social media recruitment campaigns and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare meeting materials, evaluate applicants, and manage applicant tracking. Handle pre-employment verifications and communicate with new hires and stakeholders. Orientation and Program Facilitation Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding processes. Track new hires and coordinate participation in recruitment programs and events. Pre-Employment Verification Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verifications. Generate offer letters and communicate with new hires and finance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3 years' experience in HR or onboarding roles. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, self-starter, and team player. Experience with recruitment processes and community engagement preferred.
