Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant to join our team! As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Responsibilities: 

• Assist students individually and in small groups
• Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school
• Enforce classroom rules and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher

Qualifications : 

• Ed Tech II
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Energetic and positive attitude
• Ability to pass a background check

Looking for someone to start beginning of August for our CDS classroom. This person would work under our 282 teacher and support children with SDI goals. Hours will be 8:30-3 monday-Friday. Children are in session from 8:30-11:30 and 12-3 school year only. Opportunity for summer/school vacation work possible.
