Job Description

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations department supporting engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: San Carlos, CA

Pay Range: $48-51/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Collaborate closely with engineers, TPMs, and managers to understand project requirements and concepts thoroughly.
• Coordinate with the Technical Program Manager (TPM) and Leadership to ensure the consistency of documentation standards, styles, and priorities.
• Strategize and deliver documentation guides in accordance with project timelines.
• Develop digital documentation while adhering to established style and platform standards.
• Solicit and integrate customer feedback on documentation to optimize usability.

What's Needed?

• 2-5 years of experience as a technical writer specializing in manufacturing procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in writing and editing.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite (Word, Excel) and Adobe (Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Strong written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to manage workload efficiently amidst changing priorities while meeting project deadlines.
