Overview CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity. The CrowdStrike OverWatch team is seeking an entry-level cybersecurity professional to analyze eCrime threat actor activity, identify intrusions, and develop tools to improve detection capabilities. This role is remote and part of a close-knit team, focusing on threat hunting using Falcon Endpoint data and the CrowdStrike product suite. There are opportunities for growth, tool-building, and collaboration across teams. What You’ll Do: You will learn fundamental threat hunting concepts alongside seasoned analysts, work with large datasets, and help identify malicious activity to protect customers and improve tools and processes. Responsibilities Analyze adversary activity and communicate findings to customers as part of a fast-paced mission to stop breaches. Undertake research to improve detection capabilities and understanding of adversaries. Use network/host-based intrusion analysis, digital forensics, and cyber threat intelligence to uncover and analyze intrusions. Gain experience dealing with state-sponsored threat actors. Hunt specific adversaries within the large CrowdStrike data set. Required Experience in network/host-based intrusion analysis, digital forensics, or cyber threat intelligence. Experience conducting threat hunting or intrusion analysis using endpoint telemetry. Understanding of nation-state adversary motivations and TTPs. Ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders. Basic understanding of at least one major operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux). Knowledge of current and emerging threats and practical security research. Ability to stay up-to-date across the cybersecurity landscape. Analytical thinking with the ability to assess activity quickly and accurately. Effective verbal and written communication of technical concepts to peers. Self-motivated, proactive, and engaged in a fully remote role. Broad knowledge of the cybersecurity ecosystem, including threat intelligence and defensive/offensive operations. Desire a dynamic, fast-paced, unconventional team environment. Preferred Knowledge of operating systems beyond Windows (Linux, macOS). Experience in a security operations center or similar environment tracking threat actors or responding to incidents. Knowledge of identity and/or cloud security fundamentals. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience. This role may require periodic alcohol and/or drug testing during employment.
