Job Description

Position Overview: Pipe Welder We are seeking a dedicated and experienced  Pipe Welder with at least 1 year of FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) or TIG pipe welding experience . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and welding pipes and fittings of various materials according to construction drawings and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, fit, and weld pipes and fittings of various material types as specified by construction plans and technical guidelines.
  • Execute high-quality welds that meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure structural integrity and precision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines and production targets.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of FCAW or TIG pipe welding experience.
  • Test Requirement: Must pass a hands-on FCAW/TIG pipe welding test in the following conditions:
    • 6G position on a 2” pipe with a 3/32” wall thickness
    • Gas purge required
    • 1/8” root opening
    • All welds to be completed using uphill progression
Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in both FCAW and TIG welding techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of pipe welding procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Knowledge of materials and their properties when exposed to welding processes.
