RN - ICU Float Pool

\n\n

Job Details:

\n

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
\n• Float throughout Zone 1 facilities within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs - NO HOME BASE FACILITY
\n• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
\n• May be placed in holiday rotation
\n• Schedule created by leadership for 6-week periods - flexibility required to fill gaps
\n• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
\n• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor
\n• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 depending on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
\n• 1:1 ratios for high acuity patients (CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.)
\n• Must have 2+ years ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler)
\n• Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
\n• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
\n• Float to any acuity level: ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
\n• No nurse aids on unit except for sitters
\n• Must read and interpret own telemetry strips
\n• Assist with respiratory equipment troubleshooting (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC
\n• Any color scrubs acceptable
\n• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
\n• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
