Job Description & Requirements

• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel

PreOp/PACU - Washington, DC - Nights

• PALS, NIHSS, BLS & ACLS – Required
• CPAN - highly desirable
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required
• PACU Experience - Required: 2 Years
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required
• BSN - Highly desired.

• must live 100 miles away
• Shift is 7p-7:30a
• On call is on a rotational basis days and nights are separate:
• Saturday night 7p-7:30a
• Sunday day 7a-7:30p
• Sunday night 7p-7:30a
• Approx. every 5th weekend
  
   
• Recent PACU experience and/or minimum 2 years ICU experience required
  not surgicenter - they do not see the level of complexity of patients that we see in a level I trauma center
  
   
• *Will consider ED experience*
  
   
• This is a night shift position, candidate must possess the ability to think critically and to work independently. Night shift in the PACU is different from other units, typically only 2 RNs to care for med-surg to ICU/trauma patients and navigate the patients coming from the OR.
