Job Title: Triage Registered Nurse
Start Date: December 2024
Pay Rate: $36 - $40.00 per hour
Location: 100% Remote
Full-time hours:
8:00 AM - 7:00 PM PST / 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM EST
4x10 hour shifts (3-week rotation, one weekend required both Saturday & Sunday)
Part-time overnight hours:
7:00 PM - 4:00 AM PST / 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST
20 hours per week (2-week rotation, one weekend required both Saturday & Sunday)
Training:
10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST (2 weeks required for both full-time and part-time roles)

Required Qualifications:
Compact RN License
Single-State CA License (application pending at time of final interview is acceptable)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, high-quality triage and benefits navigation by responding promptly to patient calls, establishing a friendly yet professional rapport.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments of symptoms and determine the appropriate level of care based on established guidelines.
Communicate clearly with patients, explaining recommendations and care plans in an easy-to-understand manner.
Refer patients to internal and external resources as needed, ensuring they have access to the full spectrum of care.
Support urgent member prescription needs and act as a central point of contact for emergency escalations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Uphold the company's core values in every aspect of care delivery.
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active RN licensure in a compact state, with eligibility to obtain licensure in all 50 states
At least 2 years of experience in a triage setting, preferably with phone triage experience, or 2+ years in an emergency room, or 4+ years in an ambulatory primary care role that included triage
Ability to work in PST time zone and handle rotating holiday/weekend shifts
Expertise in advanced clinical decision-making with experience handling complex medical situations for both pediatric and adult patients
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to gather a clinical history, answer patient questions at their level, and summarize findings effectively
Proficient in using multiple computer/medical record systems and Google Suite
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality care
Must be detail-oriented and able to meet role-specific metrics without sacrificing care quality

Licensure Requirements:
Maintain current nursing licensure by completing applications for renewal in a timely manner and complying with all continuing education requirements.
