Our prestigious organization is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Permanent VP Finance. This high-level position will play a crucial role in the strategic financial management of the company, including overseeing all financial operations, managing investments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of effective financial management.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent VP Finance, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
3. Managing the organization's investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns and mitigating risks.
4. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those related to audit, tax, and financial reporting.
5. Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions, including banks and credit unions.
7. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
8. Evaluating and advising on the financial impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent VP Finance position, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. CPA designation is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
4. Extensive experience with audit, tax, investments, and financial reporting.
5. Experience in the banking or credit union industry is highly desirable.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
9. High ethical standards and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
10. Proficiency in financial software and applications.
