Job Description

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid: On-site 4x/week, Remote Fridays)

Compensation: $165-175k base salary + bonus

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years in a senior digital leadership role (VP or Executive Director level)
  • Proven experience building in-house digital marketing teams and systems
  • Deep expertise in media buying, campaign optimization, and performance marketing
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen—comfortable managing large budgets and forecasting ROI
  • Experience in ecommerce or subscription/recurring revenue businesses is a strong plus
  • Hungry, entrepreneurial, and ready for a high-impact leadership role in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Execution

  • Own and evolve the digital marketing strategy across all channels (Meta, Google, programmatic, etc.)
  • Lead the transition from agency to fully in-house digital operations
  • Partner with the Director of Performance Marketing to optimize campaigns for new club openings and blitz sales
  • Develop and implement automated media buying and planning platforms

Data-Driven Channel Optimization

  • Use advanced data analysis to determine the most effective marketing channels per market
  • Evaluate performance by geography, demographics, and club maturity to tailor channel mix
  • Understand how different markets respond to Meta, Google, and other platforms within a 10-mile radius of each club
  • Allocate budget dynamically based on real-time performance data and market-specific trends
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies that maximize lead quality and conversion

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a growing digital team including digital specialists and analysts
  • Oversee staffing plans and hiring for future digital roles (Q4–Q1)

Media Buying & Optimization

  • Manage and optimize a $9M annual digital budget (scaling to $22M next year)
  • Drive a 10x return on ad spend through smart channel mix and market-specific strategies

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Lead data-driven decision-making on budget allocation, CAC, and ROI
  • Provide insights on recurring revenue models and membership conversion funnels
  • Scope and evaluate vendors and platforms to support digital infrastructure
