Overview:

Hunter Recruiting is seeking a highly capable WordPress Developer with hands-on experience using the Theme File Editor to customize and enhance WordPress themes. The ideal candidate is fluent in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and has advanced knowledge of the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF ) plugin to create flexible, dynamic content solutions. They also need to have experience creating web applications for tools like calculators or content builders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customize and build WordPress themes directly using the Theme File Editor
• Develop custom PHP templates, functions, and JavaScript features
• Implement ACF to build reusable, client-friendly content components
• Maintain and optimize front-end code for performance, responsiveness, and SEO
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across browsers and devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute web updates, campaigns, and launches
• Ensure WordPress installations are secure, backed up, and up to date

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Advanced experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Confident editing and managing theme files via the Theme File Editor
• Understanding of WordPress file structure, loop, hooks, and functions
• Ability to create and modify themes and plugins without relying on page builder

Preferred Skills:

• Designing and deploying web applications for tools like calculators
• Utilizing theme files and ACF to build custom website blocks
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices
