2025-26 Middle School Assistant Principal of Humanities Bronx, NY About Us Brilla Schools, a growing K-8 network in the Bronx, serves over 2,000 students with plans to expand to educate 3,000 across four elementary and four middle schools. Managed by Seton Education Partners, Brilla Schools are dedicated to forming students of strong wisdom and virtue. Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Middle School Assistant Principal (AP) of Humanities is to bring Brilla Public Charter Schools’ mission to life by executing the Strategic Priorities set forth by the Principal. Supervised directly by the principal, the AP of Humanities ensures continuity of instructional practice and fidelity to the curriculum by providing coaching and support in adaptation to meet the needs of a particular cohort. Core Competencies & Responsibilities Instructional Leadership Model a deep understanding of instructional best practices and command of elementary Humanities content. Conduct regular classroom observations, live coach and provide feedback that urgently develops and deepens teachers’ understanding of instructional practice in support of high student achievement. Engage in ongoing analysis of student data to inform strategy, professional development and adjustments to instruction in support of achieving high student outcomes. Talent Management Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication with all team members and network partners. Support principal with the interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff. Strategic Thinking Model an achievement orientation & drive by setting ambitious goals, taking initiative, and securing accountability to get results. Qualifications An unwavering, confident, and enthusiastic commitment to the educational mission of the Brilla Schools Network in service to the school community. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (Master’s Degree preferred). At least two years teaching in an urban school serving predominantly low-income children with demonstrated exemplary student achievement results within Humanities content(s). Competitive Compensation : A salary range of $116,000 to $146,000, with pay varying within this range based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
