A Prep Cook, or Preparatory Cook, isresponsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparationof meals and ingredients. Prep Cook Job Responsibilities: •Perform routine kitchen tasks. •Follow the prep list created to planduties. •Label and stock all ingredients onshelves so they can be organized and easily accessible. •Measure ingredients and seasonings tobe used in cooking. •Prepare cooking ingredients by washingand chopping vegetables, cutting meat, other meal prep •Set up workstations and ingredients sothat food can be prepared according to recipes. •Undertake basic cooking duties, suchas reducing sauces and parboiling food. •Prepare simple dishes, such as saladsand entrees. •Ensure that all food and other itemsare stored properly. •Comply with nutrition and sanitationguidelines. •Perform other kitchen duties asassigned. promote and portray the VIVMEEValues. •Know, understand, and adhere to companyestablished policies and procedures. •Prepare food in a quality and timelymanner. •Maintain cleanliness of stationsincluding all reach-in boxes and kitchen in general. •Maintain cleanliness of walk-inrefrigeration and storage areas. •Maintain rotation of food in walk-inrefrigeration and storage areas. •Set up workstation in a timely mannerand in a way that maximizes efficient service. •Prepare food served at banquets andother events. •Provide food input related tospecials. •To have knowledge of all kitchen workstations. •sanitizing their work stationduring and after service. •At least 1 year of Prep Cook experience Disclaimer "This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities,skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with thejob.
