Position Summary: We're looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead the People & Culture (HR) function at our Grandview, WA plant. This role calls for an experienced HR leader who can be an influential business partner, collaborating effectively with plant leaders and team members at all levels.
Where You'll Work: This role is based in our Grandview, WA manufacturing facility, where you'll be part of a dynamic environment that values innovation and teamwork.
What You'll Do: Organizational Development - Partner with plant leadership to align people and resources with business needs.
- Support organizational planning, change leadership, and coaching.
- Drive performance management, including goal setting, development plans, feedback, and rewards.
Employee and Labor Relations - Provide guidance on contract interpretation, labor laws, mediation, and other HR matters at the plant level.
- Work with Welch's spokesperson to prepare for contract negotiations.
- Advocate for both the business and employees, managing workplace issues and opportunities proactively.
- Support a positive plant climate to improve collaboration with union partners.
Safety - Foster a safe workplace through safety committee participation and tracking safety initiatives.
- Proactively support safety training and participate in safety programs.
- Work with the safety manager to oversee workers' compensation cases and safety investigations.
Who You Are: - Skilled communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Experienced in bargaining union contracts as a first or second chair.
- Background in leading HR for complex manufacturing environments, with knowledge of modern HR systems.
- Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing and advanced manufacturing principles.
- Skilled at building relationships and collaborating across different departments.
- Able to lead and collaborate across teams and effectively resolve conflicts.
- Knowledgeable about employment law/compliance and labor relations.
- Driven to improve processes and create positive, lasting outcomes.
What You'll Need: - BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Experience with multiple site management is preferred.
- HR experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments is required.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing is a plus.
