Job Overview:

Vizmeg Landscape is seeking a talented Landscape Designer to join our team. The Landscape Designer will play a crucial role in creating captivating landscape designs that align with our clients' visions and meet our high-quality standards. As a Landscape Designer, you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and our construction team to bring outdoor projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and the Design/Sales Project Manager to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Translate client requirements into creative and functional landscape designs.
• Site Analysis: Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including locating existing elements such as residence, walls, walkways, driveways, etc… Clearly define property lines, setbacks and utilities, etc…
• Conceptual Design: Develop initial design concepts and sketches to present to clients. Incorporate elements such as hardscapes, plantings, lighting, and irrigation systems.
• 3D Modeling and Renderings: Utilize design software to create 3D models and realistic renderings of proposed landscape designs, helping clients visualize the end result.
• Plant Selection: Choose appropriate plant species, taking into account local climate conditions, maintenance requirements, and aesthetic preferences.

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years of experience in landscape design
• Proficiency in landscape design software (e.g., VectorWorks, AutoCAD)
• Strong plant knowledge and familiarity with local plant species
• Ability to translate comments, redlines, and sketches into working drawings/documents
• Skillful with presentations utilizing Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, and hand rendering
• Skillful with construction drawings including construction detailing, dimensioned layouts and grading plans
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A portfolio showcasing previous landscape design projects (preferred)
• Degree in Landscape, Architecture, Design or equivalent experience (preferred)
