GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This position is responsible for working on a 2–3 person crew that completes landscaping tasks at various locations. The role involves a wide variety of landscaping duties, performed outdoors on weekdays for up to 10 hours per day . Employees are expected to complete work within budget and in accordance with the company’s safety and quality standards .
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and sitting
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Safely operate commercial mowing equipment
Understand and apply industry standards for mowing practices
Operate string trimmers and other power tools safely
Safely drive a pickup truck with trailer
Follow crew leader instructions and work well with others
Trim shrubs and ornamental trees according to industry standards
Plant flowers , if needed
Install mulch and river rock
Pull weeds by hand
Work in all weather conditions
Arrive on time and remain until all scheduled tasks are complete
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of commercial lawn services
Good written and oral communication skills
Valid Michigan driver’s license with chauffeur’s license endorsement
