Join to apply for the Marine HVAC and Refrigeration Engineer role at Solvere Technical Group Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Marine HVAC and Refrigeration Engineer to design, develop, and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC&R systems (including heating/cooling load, duct sizing and chill water piping calculations, equipment selection). Conduct reviews of technical data packages and conduct HVAC&R trade studies. Will work "Onsite" 2-3 days per/week and remotely the remaining days of the week in Washington, D.C. Duties And Responsibilities Develop ship propulsion and control systems specifications as they relate to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Perform design reviews and feasibility analyses on concept, preliminary, contract, and detail design of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems. Provide documentation and support on integration HVAC systems and elements. Job Qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ documented experience relating to the design of marine HVAC and/or refrigeration systems. Preferred Skills And Abilities Familiarity with ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard HVAC systems preferred. Experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs preferred. Education BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work. Security Must have a Secret Clearance or higher. Must pass a standard background check. Place Of Performance Will work "Onsite" 2-3 days per/week and remotely the remaining days of the week in Washington, D.C.
