We are seeking a Provider Utilization Coordinator Spec to join and support our Mobile Clinic Operations.

What part would you play in this role?

As the Provider Utilization Coordinator in Mobile Clinic Operations, your role involves facilitating effective communication between IPA providers and the operations team. You’ll proactively resolve scheduling challenges and keep leadership updated on key trends. You'll also manage and update provider schedules to avoid gaps and overbooking, collaborate with the regional utilization manager, and utilize various electronic tools to improve resource management and reduce missed appointments

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Consistent and effective communication with IPA providers and operations
  • Ability to effectively utilize reports and tools to communicate IPA provider schedules to the providers and to communicate and escalate information and trends to VAO
  • Proactively communicate issues/concerns with IPA provider schedules proactively to VAO leadership teams as necessary
  • Ability to coordinate with regional utilization manager (RUM) on IPA utilization issues
  • Responsible for building and adjusting provider’s schedules
  • Constantly evaluates the utilization of dedicated IPA providers
  • Prevention of gaps and overbooking in provider’s electronic schedules
  • Time slot capitalization which includes communication with operations scheduling staff
  • Effective management of electronic confirmation systems (i.e.eMessenger, Pega communicator, ACD) in order to minimize no show rates
  • Efficiently utilizes electronic tools and workflows in order to manage resources such as: ECW, UCM, eProcess and other tools as necessary
  • Ability to prioritize operations and provider’s requests when and if necessary
  • Any other duties as assigned

You must have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a high volume healthcare setting with daily utilization of electronic scheduling software
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications (i.e. MS Outlook, Electronic Scheduling software) with an ability to learn new software quickly.
  • An ability to follow and adhere to standardized process workflow on a daily basis
  • An ability to communicate effectively with providers of all specialties
  • Excellent data entry and typing skills
  • An ablility to work various shifts and hours to cover multiple times zones
  • Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical processes
  • Experience utilizing EMR or case management software a plus
  • An ability to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation 

Typical Day:

  • Environment:  This is a true, Healthcare administration role. While working onsite you'll be working in an open office layout, with cubicles side to side.
  • Schedule: Mon – Friday ONSITE: 8:00am – 4:30pm CST at our headquarters in San Antonio TX located at 4538 Centerview Dr. Ste 200 San Antonio, TX 78228 ,

Pay

Level 1: (1 years of experience) $19.31- $21.34

Level 2: (2-3 years of experience) $21.77- $24.06

Level 3: (3- 5 years of experience) $22.49- $24.86

with 6% Quarterly Bonus Eligibility
