Job Description Assignment Overview
Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC) seeks experienced Registered Nurses to provide outpatient ambulatory care services for a 12-month base period with four optional 12-month extensions. The goal is to maintain continuity of care and reduce service disruptions caused by staff shortages.

Candidate Submission Requirements
Submit up to four candidates with resumes/CVs. Each must include:
• Total years in healthcare
• Experience in academic medical centers
• IHS experience (preferred)
• HIS system experience
• Copies of all active licenses and certifications
Incomplete profiles will not be submitted. Only top candidates meeting all requirements will be considered.
Shift Details
• 8-hour shifts: 0800-1700 (Monday-Friday)
• Potential 10-hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Coverage may include additional days, after-hours shifts, and staff leave coverage
• Contractors must follow HHCC policies, charting procedures, and uniform requirements
• Cross-training and reassignment to alternate departments may occur
Minimum Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year in ambulatory care
• Minimum 1 year IV infusion experience
• Experience with IV starts, PICC line and port access
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (associate, bachelor's, or higher)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all required)
• CGFNS certification for foreign-educated nurses
Core Responsibilities
• Execute provider orders including medication, oxygen, and treatment administration
• Operate and manage therapeutic devices and medical equipment
• Measure and document vital signs, medication effects, neurological status, and other assessments
• Record and update patient information and condition changes in the EHR
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and coordinate patient care
• Manage adult and pediatric immunizations
• Perform quality control checks and assist with lab specimen collection
• Respond to life-threatening emergencies and adverse reactions
• Provide emergency care and interventions as directed
• Screen and respond to patient telephone inquiries

• Complete and sign off on medical records promptly
• Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication
• Apply critical thinking and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Understand and respect cultural considerations when serving Native American patients
Priority Consideration
• Candidates with prior IHS or tribal healthcare experience
• Candidates with strong ambulatory and infusion experience
