As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail and mall environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. Your role is essential in maintaining a secure and positive atmosphere for all guests and staff at the location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or potential issues.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming environment for all patrons and staff.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and other team members to address security-related needs and support daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
