Our client is a market leader in high-performance post-press and finishing solutions. They are seeking a German speaking Solutions Engineer to support their sales and service teams with expert-level technical knowledge for its finishing solutions in the printing industry. This is a dynamic position requiring a mechanical engineering background, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to bridge technical and commercial functions across an international organization.
Essential Functions:
• Serve as the primary technical resource for the U.S. sales and service teams.
• Evaluate customer specifications and recommend appropriate equipment configurations and layouts.
• Provide technical input on proposals, pricing estimates, and implementation plans.
• Support the quoting process by reviewing and approving sales proposals to ensure accuracy and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with Germany on product engineering and unique customer requests.
• Develop and deliver technical product presentations for customers and internal teams.
• Support integration planning for interfacing equipment and complex finishing systems.
• Travel 25–50% domestically and internationally to customer sites, company headquarters and manufacturing plant in Europe
• Maintain deep knowledge of the evolving product line, with an emphasis on digital finishing equipment.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership for mid-level teams as a subject matter expert.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a capital equipment, packaging, printing, or highly technical manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in German required (to support communication with headquarters in Germany).
• Based onsite with relocation assistance provided.
