Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Remote Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in editing video content for various platforms (YouTube, social media, websites, etc.), with an eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality visual experiences. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of creatives.

Responsibilities:

• Edit Video Content : Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging final products. This includes trimming, cutting, color correction, audio editing, and adding special effects, titles, and graphics.
• Content Adaptation : Adapt video content to suit different platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media channels. Ensure the final product is optimized for each platform’s specifications.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the content creators, directors, producers, and other team members to ensure video projects meet objectives and timelines.
• Maintain Consistency : Ensure that the videos are consistent with the brand's voice, style, and quality guidelines.
• Sound Design : Edit and mix audio to ensure the final product has clear, balanced, and professional sound quality.
• Creative Input : Offer creative suggestions to enhance the video content and make it more engaging and impactful.
• File Management : Organize and maintain video files, project files, and assets, ensuring they are easy to access and manage.
• Meeting Deadlines : Deliver high-quality edited videos within the set deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Versioning and Updates : Create multiple versions of videos when necessary (e.g., different lengths or formats) and update older videos with new information or graphics as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience : At least 2-3 years of video editing experience, with a portfolio or reel showcasing your work.
• Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar. Experience with After Effects or motion graphics is a plus.
• Strong Attention to Detail : Ability to spot issues and inconsistencies in video content and audio, with a keen eye for quality.
• Creative Thinking : Strong visual storytelling skills, with an understanding of pacing, timing, and how to capture the viewer’s attention.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate remotely with teams across different time zones.
• Organization : Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
• Remote Work Experience : Comfortable with remote work and self-motivated to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Hardware/Software Requirements : You must have access to a reliable computer and high-speed internet for video editing. A high-quality headset or speakers for audio editing is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience editing content for specific social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Knowledge of animation and motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects or similar tools).
• Basic graphic design skills using Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Familiarity with video formats and compression techniques for various platforms (e.g., 4K, 1080p, social media aspect ratios).
• Experience with video color grading and audio post-production.
