Job Description

The Industrial Engineer Facilities and Maintenance, (IE)plays a key role in optimizing facility layouts, supporting equipment acquisition, and improving equipment efficiency. This position will work cross-functionally with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities to ensure seamless integration of equipment and infrastructure projects. The IE will be responsible for data-driven decision-making to enhance reliability, workflow, and operational effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facility & Production Layout (BIM)
  • Develop and maintain layout drawings for production areas and facility.
  • Create and maintain a library of building layout standards and drawings.
  • Support facility projects by planning space utilization and relocation strategies.
  • Act as Serve as the Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordinator for facilities projects, ensuring accurate documentation and digital models for infrastructure upgrades, system installations, and equipment placement.
  • Equipment Acquisition & Commissioning
  • Support the specification, purchasing, and commissioning of production equipment.
  • Co-own the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures to ensure equipment meets performance expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to oversee the delivery, installation, and seamless integration of systems and equipment.
  • Assist in Capital Expenditure, (CapEx) planning and budgeting for new equipment, facility improvements, and infrastructure investments.
  • Support project execution by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reliability & Data Analysis Projects
  • Support refurbishment and upgrade initiatives for production equipment, ensuring improved performance and reliability.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to support reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to align facility systems with production requirements, reduce inefficiencies and improve lifecycle strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise to support process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives through energy-efficient building design and infrastructure optimization.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings for communication and alignment.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM/CAD tools.
  • Experience with facility layout planning, utility integration, and equipment positioning.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production processes.
  • Ability to interpret reliability or maintenance data to inform infrastructure planning.
  • Understanding of CapEx planning and infrastructure project execution.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to write and read English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience, which may include internships, co-op experience, or post-graduate work in industrial engineering or a related field.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • AutoCAD Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a BIM certificate within the first year.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift, bend, and reach.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

  • The use of safety glasses as required.
  • Work in and around moving machinery – required not to wear any loose/dangling articles of clothing or jewelry which could get entangled in machines.
  • Other equipment as needed by specific machines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work primarily performed in a shop environment. If in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to noise, smells, heat, dust, etc. Work requires the observance of fire regulations and safe work practices .
